at ADEX 2002
 The dazzling PADI
booth at the Asia Dive Expo, ADEX 2002 in Singapore, set the scene
for an award presentation to Dive Asia from Phuket in Thailand.
The PADI International Resort and Retail Association Member, (PADI
Career Development Centre) excelled in the PADI Industry Award category
for Outstanding Contribution to PADI Instructor Development in 2001.
Presented by PADI Asia Pacific Vice Presidents,
Henrik and Claus Nimb, PADI Course Director Bjorn Tackmann accepted
the award on behalf of Dive Asia during the course of the show.

First in Iran
Maryam Shirdel [OWSI-620219] recently became
Iran's first female PADI Instructor when she was successful at her
Instructor Exam in Phuket, Thailand. Shirdel completed her Instructor
Development Course (IDC) with Course Director Bjorn Tackmann [CD-500998]
at Dive Asia [S-2925], a PADI 5 Star Career Development Center in
Phuket.
Shirdel has since returned to Iran and is working
with Faraz Dalaee [IDCS-611186], Iran's first IDC Staff Instructor.
